81e0a270-fbbf-4aca-91d4-74e3cf0d8d5c_profileMia Sidaros is a 17 year old girl who has been battling Ewing’s Sarcoma bone cancer with metastases and recurrences, since she was 13 years old. Her body is failing but her spirit is still strong and fighting. In late March she was told that without something miraculous she is terminal with only 3-6 months left to live. (Photos at left is Mia holding her baby niece.)

According to her oncologist, a sarcoma expert at UCLA, and two other sarcoma experts we have consulted this week, her only hope for survival is a new class of medications called PD1 inhibitors. These drugs have saved terminal melanoma patients and are just now being tested on Sarcomas. Despite her oncologist’s best efforts we have not been able to get Mia into a trial. The cost of this new medication is $150,000+. Her family’s resources have been depleted over the last three years, and this cost is prohibitive.

Because of this we are reaching out to our community; strangers and acquaintances; to the mothers and fathers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, sons and daughters among you who might be able to spare something to help our precious little girl.
