Culver City yogis and yoginis will soon have a new retail option dedicated solely to ‘stylish sweat gear.’ Yoga and Pilates boutique Maitri is putting the final touches on its first-ever space at 11160 Washington Blvd. (just up the block from the cute Irish pub) in Culver City. Founded by Liberation Yoga-trained instructor Ellina Kim, the shop is located next door to ashtanga studio Omkar18 Yoga and will stock “everything you need to grow your practice,” like classic yoga apparel from OmShanti, workout accessories, and more. It’s slated to open in January, so of you need a new mat, some great pants or just something beautiful to stretch out in, your destination is near.
