Former Culver City resident Kevin Commins has a number of Christmas movies to his writing credit, and this Christmas is no exception. The Hallmark channel has two of them – both new this year – in rotation for your holiday viewing pleasure.
The first, “Angels and Ornaments,” is a holiday love story, where “Corrine’s holiday season gets an unexpected dose of romance when she meets the mysterious Harold, who is on a deadline from a higher power to help Corrine find her true love by Christmas Eve. As the clock ticks down to Harold’s deadline, Corrine must decide if she will open up to Christmas love. ” Showing on Hallmark on 12/1 at 8 pm, 12/2 at 4 pm, 12/20 at 2 am, 12/20 at 2 p, 12/25 at 7:30pm, 12/26 at 2 pm, 12/29 at 8 am.
The second, “The Best Christmas Party Ever,” offers another holiday love story (we might have
some insight into Kevin’s favorite theme here…) “With the holidays approaching, a young party planner arranges a special Christmas party for a New York toy store. When a powerful corporation threatens to shut her down, she decides to follow her heart, moving forward with the party plans and finding true love in time for Christmas.” This movie will be premiering on the Hallmark Channel on 12/13 at 8 pm and then repeats at 12/14 at 2 pm, 12/18 at 8 pm, 12/20 at 4 pm, 12/21 at 8 a, 12/24 at 6 pm, 12/25 at 9 am, 12/30 at 2:30 am, and 12/30 at 4 pm..
According to Kevin, “Needless to say, they’re both family friendly – being on the Hallmark Channel and all – and I think they’re entertaining, although I haven’t watched them myself yet.”
I’m sure writing them was a lot of fun, (love stories often are) and perhaps a little eggnog and a plate of Christmas cookies in front of the television might inspire a little sweetness for the season.
