Culver City Compost – Closing the Circle

compostAmerican Organics and Culver City is closing the loop and replenishing the earth with nutrient rich compost!

Culver City Public Works with American Organics is holding a free of charge compost giveaway event in the parking lot adjacent to the Bone Yard Dog Park.

Where: Bill Botts Baseball Field and Playground 9710 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, 90232

When: The event is on Saturday November 8, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. or until gone.

Access to the area is at the Jefferson Blvd and Duquesne Street cross light. Drive up the hill entrance before the Dog Park to the parking lot.

What should I bring? This is a self-haul event so bring a shovel – residents are responsible for shoveling and bagging their own compost

How do I use this compost in my garden?

Compost is ready to go, but recommended to be mixed together with topsoil or another gardening fill. For best growing results, a 60/40 split (60% topsoil and 40% compost) is recommended.
