CCUSD Board of Education to Consider Proposed Credit Change for Graduating High Schoolers

imagesThere will be an opportunity for parents, students and  community members to address the Board of Education next Tuesday, October 28 regarding a proposed change in policy affecting the class of 2016 (current juniors) and all who follow in regard to the number of credits required to graduate.

Currently, students may walk in the graduation ceremony if they are within 10 credits of completing the graduation requirement of 220 credits. Beginning with the Class of 2016, students will need to have completed 220 credits in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.

The School Board will meet at City Hall, in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers, beginning at 7 pm. For more information, contact the district at 310-842- 4200 or go to www.ccusd.org.
