The City Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for Culver City Commission, Committee, and Board appointments. There are two application deadlines:
Applications for currently vacant offices will be accepted by the City Clerk’s Office until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Late applications may not be accepted.
There are vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (1), Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1 Tenant, 1 Member at Large) and the Fiesta la Ballona Committee (2).
Appointments for current vacancies are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council on Monday, March 24, 2012. Persons not appointed during the earlier application period will be considered during the second application period.
Applications for offices that will become available on July 1, 2014 will be accepted by the City Clerk’s Office until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Late applications may not be accepted.
Openings for this deadline are available on the Civil Service Commission (1), Cultural Affairs Commission (1), Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission (1), Planning Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (4), Disability Advisory Committee (3), Fiesta la Ballona Committee (1), Los Angeles Airport Area Advisory Committee (3), West Los Angeles Vector Control Board (1), and Finance Advisory Committee (2).
Appointments for these openings are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council on Monday, May 12, 2014.
New appointees will be required to attend a Brown Act /AB1234 (Ethics) training, at a date and time to be determined.

Applications can also be obtained on the City’s website by clicking here. Business hours are 7:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. City Hall is closed on alternate Fridays (February 21, March 7, 21, April 4, 18) during the application periods.
