Akasha to Host Cultural Affairs Fundraiser July 31

What the best way to have a great meal, support a good cause and keep it all downtown? Grab a menu, bring some money and help create some music for the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation. In partnership with Akasha Restaurant (located at 9543 Culver Boulevard in Downtown Culver City) CCCA will be hosting a fundraiser in support of the ( YOU ‘LL BE REALLY SURPRISED – )  Arts in Culver City! A portion of each sale on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 between 4:00 and 8:00 PM will benefit Culver City’s Music in the Chambers classical music program. Akasha Restaurant, owned and operated by Chef Akasha Richmond (pictured above, photo courtesy of the LA Times) and her husband Alan Schulman, has generously agreed to donate 10% of sales during the fundraiser to the Cultural Affairs Foundation. Come enjoy wine tasting (Wednesdays are “1/2 Off Wine Wednesdays”), a Happy Hour menu from 4:00-7:00 PM, and the full dinner menu from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. The fundraiser is open to the public. Reservations are recommended but not required. Parking is available in parking structures located throughout Downtown Culver City (the first two hours of parking are FREE with a small charge applicable afterwards.)
The Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation is a nonprofit organization which promotes and supports historic preservation, public art, and cultural programming in Culver City by seeking out and securing private and public sector funding.
