Senator Curren Price is soliciting nominations of remarkable women who live or work in the 26th Senate District and/or upcoming 30th Senate District.
A “SHero” is a woman who has demonstrated leadership, pride, volunteerism and commitment to her community in a remarkable manner. Ideal nominees are neighborhood activists, artists, and community and business leaders – women who make a substantive difference in the lives of others but may not always be recognized for their contributions.
Senator Price will select 30 SHeroes, and honor them at a special ceremony scheduled to take place in February of 2013, during American Heart Month. The event will celebrate the contributions to the community of our 2013 SHeroes and also raise awareness about living a heart-healthy life.
All nominations must be submitted no later than Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 5 p.m.
