Crime Blotter – Check the Windows

Crime Blotter for March 6th through the 12th.

Residential Burglary:
On March 6, 2012 at 8:15 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Van Buren Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; her cousin left her residence at 5:20 pm and locked and secured the home. She returned at 8:10 pm and discovered the front door was opened and her property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On March 6, 2012 at 8:30 pm officers responded to the 4100 block of Higuera Street regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she left her residence locked and secured at 5:10 pm. She returned at 7:45 pm, and discovered an upstairs window had been opened and her property missing.
Vandalism:
On March 10, 2012 at 12:50 am, officers responded to the 11400 block of Port Road regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the reporting party/security guard who told them the following; he was conducting a check of the location when he observed a window that had been broken out.
Residential Burglary:
On March 10, 2012 at 10:05 pm, officers responded to the 11000 block of Culver Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she locked and secured her home at 7:00 pm and when she returned at 10:00 pm discovered her front door opened. She checked her home and discovered her property was missing.
Stolen Car:
On March 12, 2012 at 9:15 am, officers responded to the 6100 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; she said the vehicle was parked and locked on March 9, 2012 at 4:30 pm. On March 12th she discovered the van was missing.
