CCFOL Whodunit and Annual Installation

Join the Culver City Friends of the Library for a Murder Mystery Night on Thursday, January 19 in the Culver Room of the Doubletree Hotel. Come dressed as your favorite crime detective! Check-in and clues will be available starting at 5:30, and mystery books will be available for purchase. The mystery itself will start at 6:15, with a notable cast of characters. Help Scott Zeidman as Police Inspector Sam Slayed as he questions the book critic (Patti Jaffe), the librarian (Nancy Burne), Actress J’Lo Bennifer (Paula Wilson), the publisher (Mike Cohen), the book seller (Dan O’Brien) and a special political figure, the Governator (Alan Corlin) to determine who killed the author, Agatha Mystry (City Attorney Carol Schwab). This “production” will be directed by Aaron Blake. Prizes will be available for the best costume and for teams with the correct answers, or the best explanations of “Whodunnit.”
Don’t forget to come dressed as your favorite detective!

In addition this will be the annual meeting of the Friends of the Library and the installation of officers and board members for the upcoming year. The slate of officers includes: Co-presidents Nancy Kuechle and Elaine Hirohama; Vice President Steven Wieber; Secretary Renee Pryor; Treasure Wanda Anesh; Membership Chair Sharon Hyland-Elstein; Book Sale Chair Wayne Pulliam; Program Chairs Aileen
Zeidman and May Jung and Publication Chair Lise Friedman.

Community and Board volunteers who will be honored for their service to the library are Wanda Anesh, Bobbie Abood, John Kuechle and Juanita Jepson.

Dinner prices are $40 for an individual ticket and $24 for children. It is also a great time to renew your membership in the Friends and support the library!
