Ballona Creek Task Force – May 17

The sky is blue, the weather is sweet, and it’s time to take care of  Mother Nature.  On Tuesday May 17, from 1:30 to 3;30 p.m. in the Dan Pataccia Room at Culver City City Hall, the Ballona Creek Watershed Task Force will be meeting and you can ad in your ideas and enthusiasm. Presentation topics include student watershed work, Ballona Creek pollutant monitoring, and the Park to Playa trail planning in Baldwin Hills.

Now facilitated by the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission (SMBRC), these informative bi-monthly stakeholder forums are open to anyone interested.

SMBRC also has their own bi-monthly Governing Board meetings in Marina Del Rey, which deal with the entire Santa Monica Bay Watershed. That includes the sub-watersheds of the Palos Verde peninsula, the South Bay cities, Ballona Creek, Santa Monica, Malibu Creek, and other creeks in the Malibu area.

If you would like to be on the SMBRC email list to receive agendas and occasional updates directly, contact Diana Hurlbert at www.santamonicabay.org.
