As a part of his remarks at the March 8 meeting of the Culver City Board of Education, President Scott Zeidman was pleased to note the success of the “Casino Night” fundraiser. “We sold 1500 servings of dessert, we had 70 volunteers, 46 football players, 24 soccer players, moving all these machines- I can’t thank everyone enough, it was just great. Last year we made about about $11,000. This year, with about $3500 in expenses, we took in just about $22,000 net profit.” He continued in an upbeat tone, “I know we are facing some very tough financial times, and as we continue to work together as a community, we can help to bring in what we need. “
