Missing Anything? Lotta That Going On Lately

From the Culver City Police Department, the Crime Blotter for November 8th through November 14th.

Robbery:
On November 8, 2010 at 3:20 pm officers responded to a radio call of a robbery investigation in the 5800 block of Green Valley Circle. The officers contacted the victim who told them he was robbed of his sale receipts from his business. The victim said he had parked his vehicle when he was approached by 2 male blacks in their twenties, wearing dark clothing about 5’8, and thin builds. The suspects demanded the box he was carrying and fled the location.

Stolen Honda:
On November 9, 2010 at 1220 am officers responded to the 3800 block of Overland Avenue for a GTA investigation. Officers contacted the victim who told them the following. The victim said he parked and locked his 1992 Honda Accord at 11:50 and when he returned his vehicle was missing.

Vandalized Vehicle:
On November 9, 2010, at 1200 pm, a victim called the police department to report her vehicle had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2010 Volkswagen Jetta in the 6000 block of Washington Boulevard at 1:15 am and when she returned she discovered unknown suspect(s) had spray painted her vehicle.

Burglary:
On November 10, 2010, at 4:45 pm officers responded to the 11700 block of Hammack Street for a burglary investigation. The officers contacted the victim who said unknown suspect(s) entered the location through a sliding glass door. The victim said she had locked the residence when she left earlier in the day.

Commercial Burglary:
On November 11, 2010, at 5:33 am officers responded to a burglar alarm in the 5500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. The officers arrived at the location and discovered the front glass door had be broken allowing access to the location. The victim arrived and discovered some US currency was missing.

It’s kind of a hallmark to live in Culver City and not even bother to lock the door. Could be time to re-think that strategy.
