Angel City Chorale – Oh What Fun!

Before every Angel City Chorale concert, the director, Sue Fink, says: “This will be the best concert yet!” Guess what? She’s always right. Somehow they just keep topping themselves. This year’s Holiday Concert theme is Oh What Fun! and that’s exactly what you can expect. At the same time you’ll get a musical tour from medieval and renaissance sounds through doo-wop, pop, and rousing gospel. Sing-alongs will include traditional carols AND the venerable Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. Imagine singing about “The kingdom of this world” with over 1,000 people in a resonant setting. Chorale members will be singing in the aisles to spur you on.

It’s at Wilshire United Methodist Church — corner of Wilshire & Plymouth (next door to the Wilshire Ebell Theatre). Especially if you’re a first-time, please note that this is NOT the WESTWOOD United Methodist Church. Parking in the Church’s lot will cost you $5, but there’s a nearby office building with underground parking, plus a surprising amount of street parking.
The 12/4 Saturday evening concert is at 7:30pm, and the 12/5 Sunday evening concert is at 7:00pm.

You may use Paypal to order tickets on line at http://angelcitychorale.org/. Fracnes talbott-White wil be carrying tickets most of the time, so if you see her you can avoid the will-call line. Prices (in advance) are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors (60+), and $17 for children. Groups of ten or more receive a further discount.

Even if you don’t order any tickets or plan to attend Oh What Fun!  visit ACC’s website and listen to samples of our CDs.
