An official statement was released from the Fiesta La Ballona Committee and Mayor Christopher Armenta today to start the festivities.

As Mayor of Culver City and on behalf of the entire City Council, I welcome you and your family to our 60th annual Fiesta La Ballona. During Fiesta Week, we proudly take the time to celebrate the rich history, cultural heritage and community spirit of Culver City. We take great pride in calling our Culver City, The Heart of Screenland.

I wish to especially thank all of the volunteers with the Fiesta La Ballona Committee for their hard work on the events, entertainment and activities for all ages. The committee is to be applauded for being so very inclusive and having an open door policy for volunteer participation. I also want to thank all of the Culver City nonprofit organizations who participate in Fiesta La Ballona. You all make Culver City that very special community rich with cultural diversity and artistic talent.

Fiesta La Ballona is that special time to relax, have fun and enjoy the weekend celebration with your family and friends. Please come to Veterans Memorial Park and help make our 60th annual Fiesta La Ballona one of our best ever.
