Culver Palms YMCA Pool Closed for Upkeep
The pool and locker rooms at the Culver Palms YMCA will be closed until Jan. 3 due to annual maintenance. We expect to reopen by Jan 4. All members are welcome to use the pools at the Westchester or Westside YMCA while the pool is closed.
Meet Us For Dinner – Sahli-Wells Fundraiser
The next food and fundraising event for Meghan Sahli-Wells will be held at Meet restaurant in downtown Culver City, 6 p.m. on Jan. 25. Death at the West End Hotel
A resident of the West End Hotel at 3927 Van Buren Place in Culver City was found dead this morning. Robert Quinn, aged 43, had been living at the hotel since June 8, 2008, and was found dead in room 318. According to Sara Makwana of the hotel management alcohol poisoning was the suspected cause of death. “He had a lot to drink, there were a lot of empty bottles,” Makwana noted. Police, [...]
